(DIY) closed its physical doors and opened the virtual doors of OTH. Ted Pentecost, President of OTH, and the former owner and President of DIY, realized that he could provide the same high level of customer service while offering quality products at tremendous discounts to customers. By reducing inventory, insurance, labor and other operating costs, OTH is able to provide the highest quality of whirlpools, tubs, latches and other hardware at unbeatable prices.

Do-It-Yourself Homecenter™ opened its doors in 1952 as Miller Home Supply. The Pentecost family bought out their partner in 1971 and took full ownership of the plumbing, electrical & lighting business. In 1974 the name was changed to Do-It-Yourself Home Center, Inc.
